The world lost a true angel yesterday with the peaceful passing of Ms. Maya Angelou. She will be mourned the world over and by those who's lives she touched and inspired. Ms. Angelou was known throughout the world as an author, singer, dancer and poet. She showed that someone from humble background can change the world and their stars.
Maya Angelou worked closely with Malcom X and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. during the Civil Rights Era and continued their work, long after their deaths. She was a shining beacon of hope and right in the world, she was a "caged bird."
Now, my friends, that caged bird is free to live amongst the stars for all eternity. May the Force be with you Ms. Angelou, and with you all my friends.
