This is something that the world today is lacking. If people had more compassion in their lives, I feel that we wouldn't have as much violence. If we had compassion we would be more understanding and accepting of those who are different than us.
One can see no better example of compassion than at a Special Olympics Competition. These young men and women along with their families are some of the most compassionate people I have seen to date. They do not see a "disabled" body, they see a fellow athlete. They welcome each other with open arms and hearts and congratulate each other if they win or loose. It doesn't matter to them, they are all the same and striving for the same thing, compassion and equality!
We as human beings need to take a lesson from these fine athletes, we are ONE!
