50 years ago this week, four young Englishmen entered our country and took the music world by storm! I am of course talking about John, Paul, George and Ringo otherwise known as the Beatles.
I want you to think about only in in particular, John Lennon. Later in life after the Beatles had disbanded and John concentrated on being a father to his youngest son Sean, Mr. Lennon had a mind and altering break through in thinking. This break through caused him to live a different way and act a different way. But most importantly caused him to write, in my humble opinion one of the greatest songs ever written "IMAGINE."
In the song he speaks of no need for greed or hunger, no possessions, no Heaven, no Hell and the world living as one a brotherhood of man. Hmmmm, makes you think doesn't it?
Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people living for today
Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people living life in peace
You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people sharing all the world
You, you may say
I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will live as one
John Lennon, Jedi before Jedi was cool.
A favorite song always
